Healed

Three years ago Marah was diagnosed with Kidney Reflux. Something that has been managed over the past three years with daily medicine. Each year we had to go back in and have a VOIDING CYSTOURETHROGRAM (VCUG).

You may ask what is a VCUG? A voiding cystourethrogram (SIS-toe-you-REE-throw-gram), or
VCUG, is a video X-ray of the bladder and urinary tract at work. They insert a catheter into her and fill her bladder up and take X-Rays to see if anything is going up into the kidney. Basically it is pure torture for her and us. The first two years I was voted to go in with her but last week Marah wanted her daddy to go in with her.

It is so hard to see your child lying there in pain and crying out to you - asking you to get the people off me and take me home. I could tell by Michael's face that it was a rough 30 minutes of her crying and begging with him. No parent wants to see their child suffer. It took Marah about an hour to talk or even look at me in the eye. But after some Starbucks, a a bagel and a visit to the toy store - she was smiling again.

Friday morning I called and got the results of the test and we are praising God that Marah is healed!!!!
