Imagination

Grant is finishing up his First Grade this week. We are just amazed at what he has learned this year. What we have really been enjoying is all the little stories that he has been writing and his drawings. His imagination is now coming out on paper.

Grant has always had a big imagination - he had an imaginary friend -"little monster". Little Monster was around for a while - Once we left him at Target and I had a very upset little boy - wanting me to drive 25 minutes back to get an imaginary friend. (I ended up going out that night acting like I went to pick him up) He eventually went off to College - University of Kentucky - and then we came to find out last week that he passed away - from being shot.

If you drive by my house - you might see him running wild in the yard - talking to himself - sword fighting the air or using his mighty karate moves on someone that only Grant can see.

Yep, we've got an imaginative boy here, too. The poor kid gets frustrated with our *lack* of imagination.

Oh, and we still talk about Little Monster here, in honor of Grant. :)
